How To: Throw a Frozen Party
Needless to say, Disney’s Frozen is all the rage right now, especially if you’ve got little ones running around the house belting out “Let it Go” all the time like I do. Surprisingly though, we haven’t seen a ton of Frozen parties come through over at HWTM quite yet, even though I know the demand for this theme is at an all time high. So…there’s no time like the present for a round up of some super creative, Frozen-inspired party inspiration, right?! Even if you’re not a fan of the film, many of these ideas could work really well for a Bundle Up Baby Shower, Ice Skating Party or Winter Wonderland Birthday party too! And remember that despite all the icy elements – Frozen actually takes place during the summer…so the warm summer months are actually the perfect time to cool off with this party theme!
1. Snow Cap Punch– via Bubbly Nature Creations
These cute ice-cap decorated cups definitely pack a creative punch! And only 3 ingredients, you’ll be able to whip up this tasty treat in no time.
2. ‘Do You Want to Build a Snowman’ Favors – via Yummy Mummy Kitchen
This entire party is chock full of adorable Frozen ideas, but I am just LOVING the build-a-snowman party favor bags! PLUS — Marina is giving away the printable for the bag topper for free! So sweet!
3. Elsa’s Snowflake Hair Barrettes – via Spoonful
If your little ones are as in love with Frozen as mine are, they will go crazy for these adorable Snowflake hair pins. These could be for every day, but would also be great as party favors! Templates are provided, and you could use those for all sorts of other party decor!
4. Elsa’s Dress Cake – via Yummy Mummy Kitchen
Like I mentioned earlier, there are so many cute ideas from this party I had to include just one more! This homemade Elsa cake uses an Elsa Barbie Doll at the center, surrounded by layers of cake to look like her infamous gown. Marina makes frosting the cake look easy, but make sure to follow her instructions and tips!
5. Snowflake Garlands – via The Handmade Home
By cutting layers of coffee filters, The Handmade Home found an awesome shortcut to making tons of paper snowflakes to use however you’d like! These garlands are super cute and would be great for a dessert table or photo booth backdrop!
6. Frozen Kingdom Invitation– via Hostess INK
I am SUPER excited about this one, not only because it’s from our own shop, but because we’re all so happy with out it turned out over here! Brand new on our site, this snowflake covered Princess invitation would be the perfect starting point to a Frozen birthday party… and matching Frozen Kingdom Address Labels are available too!
7. Frozen Cake – via Bubbly Nature Creations
Every party needs a cake (or is that just my opinion), so for an extra special nod to the movie, cool down with an ice cream cake! I especially love the blue sugar icicles — you could apply this method to almost any party (rainbow, all white for extra shimmery snow, or even a cool stained glass effect!)
8. Olaf Party Favors– via My Sister’s Suitcase
Olaf the Snowman is one of the most beloved characters in the film, making these Snowmen Snow Globes the perfect party favors! Even if you’re not planning a party, making these would be super fun to make with your kids.
9. Powdered Donut Snowmen– via My Sister’s Suitcase
Sometimes ideas are so simple and adorable, I wonder how I haven’t seen them before! Rather than stacking the powdered donuts, they shaped an orange starburst to look like a carrot nose to make the Snowman’s face. Add some mini chocolate chip eyes for an extra dose of sweetness!
10. Snowy Terrariums – via Tonya Coleman for Hostess with the Mostess
Terrariums are a huge decor trend right now, but here, Tonya switches up the garden look for a Winter Wonderland landscape, with white sugar for snow, some Christmas ornaments & any other snowy details you have lying around!
