IN NATURE, BEAUTY IS AUTHENTIC– and the same rang true for Charlotte Ronson’s F/W 2013 collection.

Fresh, clean-faced models were all-smiles in floral-print harem-style pants, chunky knits and collared shift dresses. Stocked with pieces that beg to be layered, Ronson’s patterned pants, leather separates and bare midriffs kept the collection contemporary, while lace-up platform booties lent a utilitarian vibe.

Through rich earth tones and seasonally appropriate textures, she’ll have us staying snug and stylish no matter the temperature.

During her presentation, Glam.com Contributing Editor Hallie Wilson caught up with Charlotte Ronson to talk all things style, beauty and beyond.

Q:

Who is the Charlotte Ronson girl?

A:

She’s confident – it all comes from within. She has something about her – her own kind of inherent style and talent. She’s understated and she owns that.

Q:

Can you explain the inspiration behind this season’s collection?

A:

I went back to my roots – my British heritage – with a lot of nature-inspired references. I wanted to switch it up from the traditional black-and-brown leather. I kept the collection streamlined with clean, angular lines but incorporated a lot of texture, fabric and saturated colors.

Q:

Do you have a favorite piece this season?

A:

I love the floral dress with the lace back. Really, though, I’m just proud of and excited with the way this collection turned out. It’s hard to choose.

Q:

Can you tell us a bit about the accessories the models are wearing?

A:

The hats I borrowed and the bags are a part of this season’s collection – they come from the same story.

Q:

Are you excited by any beauty trends this season?

A:

I like a natural, clean look, but I [still] like experimenting with the eye. A subtle cat-eye is a favorite of mine.

Q:

Recently, you’ve teamed up with Sephora on new beauty collection that combines your effortless style and sensibility.

A:

Yes! The models are wearing my line tonight – Sephora did the make-up. It’s so much fun to be able to get involved in the head-to-toe outcome of a look.

Q:

That’s great. Do you have any career advice for Glam readers?

A:

Have your own point of view. Find something that you love to do and own it.

Q:

Last question: What are your plans after Fashion Week?

A:

Lots of sleep.
