Into the Gloss Gets Glossier With Its Own Beauty Line

We’ve turned to Into the Gloss to gain beauty insight from our favorite stars and industry insiders, and the now the site has channeled all that intel into its own cosmetics line, Glossier.

The brand is restarting the beauty game by focusing on skincare as makeup to ensure a flawless face. With all of the nearly nude faces hitting the runways these past few seasons, the collection makes sense for the modern glam girl on the go. “Glossier is about living in—and embracing—the now, not the past, and not the future,” Into the Gloss Founder Emily Weiss explained in a letter on her site. “It’s about fun and freedom and being OK with yourself today.”

The collection includes a Soothing Face Mist formulated with roses and aloe to refresh and soothe skin, a Priming Moisturizer that instantly plumps skin and takes down redness, a super hydrating dense cream cleverly titled Balm Dotcom, and a range of Perfecting Skin Tints to tie everything together and leave the face toned, smooth, and dewy. “Foundation is not necessarily a skin-colored fluid,” Weiss continued. “It’s your skin, your expression—that you choose to build on (or not). We’re laying the foundation for a beauty movement: one that celebrates real girls, in real life.”

Prices range from $12 for the balm up to $80 for the whole set, but don’t worry if the shade range seems small, as more hues are on the way. Weiss said, “Our credo is to follow our gut and rethink products, creating exactly the items (and colors, soon!) that we want to see.” Congrats on the new venture, Emily!
