Jennifer Lawrence Scores Her First Vogue Cover


After stealing hearts on the silver screen and inspiring envy on red carpets throughout awards season, Anna Wintour saved this year’s coveted September cover for none other than Jennifer Lawrence.

Her spokesperson position with Dior and her Academy Award definitely didn’t hurt her chances of nabbing the slot. Lawrence previously coveredVogue UK back in November, the October issue of W and February’s Vanity Fair, but the Vogue placement is definitely a major moment for her. The young actress has received a lot of attention since her Oscar finding herself on Time’s 100 Influential People list earlier in the year. She will once again done her Katniss braid in the upcoming sequel to The Hunger Games this fall.

She’s not the only screen siren slated to hit newsstands in September, as Rooney Mara had David Sims shoot her for the cover of T: the New York Times Style Magazine. Lily Collins, who will become Clary Fray of The Mortal Instruments series this fall, is Seventeen’s Miss. September while the leading day of Living Proof and Aveeno, Jennifer Aniston, will become a Glamour girl in September as her movie, We’re the Millers, hits theaters August 8th.

From the big screen to the small screen, Zooey Deschanel will return to the newsstand as Marie Claire’s cover girl while Vampire DiariesNina Dobrev takes on Cosmopolitan. Blake Lively returns to the spot light on the cover of Lucky, taking a break from nesting with hubby Ryan Reynolds since Gossip Girl went off the air in December.
