Johnny Coca Appointed As Creative Director at Mulberry
By the time Johnny Coca takes the reigns at Mulberry on July 8,2015, the leather goods company will have been without a creative director for more than two years–since Emma Hill left the brand in 2013.
Coca is currently the head designer of French house Céline’s leather goods, shoes, hard accessories, jewelry and sunglasses. Acting CEO of Mulberry, Godfrey Davis, appointed Coca, who is clearly a successor worth the wait. Davis said that Coca “has a wealth of international luxury and fashion experience that will help us bring new energy and innovation to Mulberry.” We’re looking forward to seeing how Coca channels his French “Céline energy” into the British-rooted Mulberry brand.
