Though Vanity Fairas we know it hasn’t been in existence for more than 30 years, Dress & Vanity, the glossy’s former title, first appeared in 1913--meaning the magazine has a pretty big birthday coming up.

To celebrate 100 years this week, Vanity Fair has cooked up quite the anniversary issue to commemorate the occasion with Kate Upton on the cover. The Sports Illustrated model turned Elle cover girl is channeling Marilyn Monroe in a champagne-colored satin one-piece holding a cake. The Style Awards' Model of the Year was a good choice as a birthday blonde, wouldn't you say?

Upton is just part of the festivities. The magazine will be full of essays penned by celebrities like Bill Maher and Lorne Michaels. The websitewill showcase a series of short films by the likes of Judd Apatow, plus a coffee-table book, Vanity Fair: 100 Years, will be released in October.

Cheers, Vanity Fair! We hope we look as amazing as you do at 100!
