Katie Holmes’ Favorite Hair Memory Isn’t One You’d Expect

She may be an exceptionally talented actress, the mother of one of the most famous toddlers, and the ex-wife of one of the most famous actors, but as soon as you hear Katie Holmes begin to speak, you realize she's the same genuine girl who used to play Joey Potter on Dawson's Creek.

Though she's still as soft spoken as ever and retains her tendency to slightly smile out of the corner of her mouth, Holmes is continuing to broaden her entrepreneurial involvements, dipping into the beauty industry as the co-owner of Alterna. To celebrate the launch of the brand's newest products, she threw what she called, “a girl party” at the John Barrett Salon in Bergdorf Goodman. Of the newest additions to the line, she's a huge fan of the Mango Coconut dry shampoo because it, “kind of reminds me of coconut cake and who doesn't love that!”

While the legendary hair stylist played with her long wavy locks, Glam talked to Holmes about her favorite hair memory from her lifetime, which shockingly was before she ever began to work in the industry.

“My sister Nance would always curl my hair for me before I would go to basketball games, not when I was playing. She was great with hair so she always made me feel really pretty.”

Doesn't that make you love her just a little bit more?
