Don't call Lauren Conrad a Bridezilla! The lifestyle guru recently dished to Martha Stewart Weddings details on upcoming nuptials, and despite having designed the bridesmaids dresses herself, Conrad seems pretty laid back about the whole thing.
First, the future Mrs. Tell had special necklaces made for her prospective bridal party and chose to keep the look simple and sweet. “My jewelry team at Kohl’s found this little diamond ring piece that looks just like my ring, so I did rose gold necklaces for everybody and then sent it with a will-you-be-my-bridesmaid’ card,” she told Martha Stewart Weddings.
In terms of fashion, Conrad wanted her girls to look cohesive without compromising their individual aesthetic. The fall issue of the bridal biblefeatures five of the looks from her upcoming Paper Crown Bridemaids line that she designed for them. “I sent them all the different shapes and let them pick from two colors. I don’t mind if there are a few girls in the same dress, or if people are all in different ones. It’s too difficult to take a group of girls and put them in the same color and silhouette; everyone has their own style.”
Her care-free California attitude also translated to the beauty looks-- Conrad wants her girls to get glammed up however they feel is best, save for the necessary neutral nail polish. “I’m letting the girls do whatever they want, “ she explained. “Again, I think that weddings are about celebrating, and you want everyone to feel comfortable, so I think it’s about whatever is going to make them feel pretty. Understated is always best, so I think trying to go more classic is always a nice choice because you don’t want anybody to stand out in a negative way.”
Lucky ladies; if only all brides could be so easy going!
