Lela Rose Fall 2015

Designer: Lela Rose
Inspiration: The American west, a one-time frontier and rangeland
Trends: Knee-length dresses nipped at the waist with a flared skirt came in all shapes and forms–two-tone gingham, guipure lace, printed jacquard, and metallic tweed. The frocks paired well with wool coats and textured trenches, tassel and fringe detailing, and feather motifs. Gowns played off of the same themes, featuring a fluidity and structure to them all at once.
Palette: Black, white, ivory, silver, sky blue, aubergine, lilac, magenta, pale turquoise
Playlist: “Crave You,” by Flight Facilities ft. Giselle, “Eli Eli,” by Misun, “Undone,” by The Bird and the Bee, “Hey,” by The Twoks
Who was there: Bridget Moynahan, Mariska Hargitay, Robert Verdi, Gail Simmons
Who should wear it: Tailored ladies in love with the feminine side of fashion, like Kerri Washington, Julie Bowen, and Busy Philipps
