Back in August, a benefit show was supposed to be held at Gramercy Theatre with the likes of Tyler Hilton, Ryan Cabrera, local musician, Dion Roy and others performing. But due to the wrath of Irene this wonderful event was postponed.
This show is going to help raise money for music programs in New York state public schools. As stated on the website, www.btfconcerts.com, where you can find all information pertaining to this event, “Many schools in New York have been faced with major budget cuts and have been at risk of having music departments cut all together.”
Dion Roy currently resides in Manhattan and is looking forward to playing this show. "I couldn't imagine not having music while I was in school! I was in chorus in high school all four years, and I don't see music as being optional in the school system. Music is everywhere, and there are just so many benefits to having access to it," he said.
This show has been rescheduled for Friday, November 18th at 7:30 p.m.. Ticket prices range between $35 and $75 dollars. With the tickets for $75 you have the opportunity to attend a VIP Pre-Party to celebrate the launch of BTF Concerts.
Go and support this great cause and listen to great musicians.
