MAC Heads to Brazil with Pedro Lourenço
MAC continues its designer collaboration roll by heading to the beaches of Brazil.
The makeup authority is partnering with fashion designer Pedro Lourenço for Summer 2014, who’s shown professionally since the age of 12. Those who aren’t familiar with the designer’s résumé will note that he’s worked on his mother’s line, Carlota Joakina, intermittedly when he was a teen and even worked for Giambattista Valli for a month, according to Elle.
The collection itself will include lip color, eye shadow, cram color bases, nail polish, and powder blush duos that capture Brazil’s brand of effortless beauty. “Pedro organically understands and relates to the MAC Cosmetics DNA and beautifully interprets the Brazilian woman’s polished yet effortless style through this collaboration,” James Gager, creative director of MAC Cosmetics told Women’s Wear Daily.
Judging by his Spring 2014 collection, we can expect to see a series of shimmering nudes and bronzes to channel our inner Gisele Bündchen, Adriana Lima, and Alessandra Ambrosio when we hit the beach with a few surprises in store.
