Following her racy moment on the Marc Jacobs runway, Lily McMenamy dropped a hint at her new campaign, saying that Marc Jacobs kept her in Central Park until 2:00am, promising a NYC backdrop to whatever the pair were working on together. The result of their long awaited shot is finally here in the form of a Marc Jacobs Fall/Winter 2013 ad campaign!
Models Edie Campbell and McMenamy are sitting on what looks to be a fallen tree branch amidst either a bonfire or heavy fog. Considering all that’s going on in the world of Marc Jacobs right now - hiring a new creative director and design decorator, possibly leaving Louis Vuitton when his contract with LVMH expires in 2014, and perhaps standing on the brink of working with a full-fledged American design house if he’s approached to take over for Reed Krakoff at Coach (who would also support his brands)… we may be in for a surprise once the smoke clears.
One thing is for sure; it was really smart for Jacobs to capitalize on all the buzz surrounding McMenamy after she walked in his Fall 2013 show minus her shirt.
