March 20th Is Macaron Day in New York City

In 2010, renowned pastry chef (and our favorite Frenchman) Francois Payard organized the first annual Macaron Day in New York City, inspired by the famous Jour du Macaron in Paris. It's a delightful day and delicious excuse to indulge in calories and nibble on colorful tasty treats.

So mark you calendars and deprive yourself of dessert from now until Saturday… Because on Sunday, March 20, you can hop around Manhattan on a culinary quest for the most magnificent macarons, as bakeries and shops around the city will be giving out the famous round cookie-cake to customers… for free!

Want to do the “tour de macarons?” Here are a few places where you can stop, shop and enjoy this perfect little pastry dubbed “the new cupcake”… Bon appetit!
