Mario Testino Toasts to 10 Years with Michael Kors

Mario Testino is on the move once again for Michael Kors' newest campaign.

The shutterbug, who recently shot Joan Smalls for The Edit, celebrated his 10th anniversary working with the brand by prepping Karmen Pedaru and Simon Nessman for a helicopter tour for the campaign that will hit newsstands next month. “It conveys an attitude of speed, endurance, and glamour in sporty-chic silhouettes and electric colors,” Kors said shoot. The stylized snapshot stands in sharp contrast to Kors’ campaign prior to Testino stepping behind the camera.

Fabien Baron, who edited Kate Moss' must-have fashion tome, initially worked with the sportswear designer at the turn of the millennia, using clean backdrops with the model and wardrobe at the forefront, according to Style Registry. But it wasn’t until Testino took the models outside of the studio and into almost paparazzi-like candid images that Kors developed his now signature jet-setter atmosphere to his brand. While the transportation has changed using planes, boats, Vespas, cars, and of course helicopters, we still seem to be sneaking peeks into the luxe lives of Kors’ couple.

Happy anniversary Mario and Michael!
