Mario Testino’s Label Mate Comes to Net-A-Porter

Famed photographer Mario Testino has branched out into fashion design with his new label, Mate. After curating Alta Moda, an exhibition where Testino captured rural Peruvians and their way of life, the photographer was inspired to make the foray into fashion with his own label.

Mate is a collection of t-shirts, scarves, kaftans and bags, covered in abstract prints from his images. Considering the fact that he has taken images of everyone from Kate Moss to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for Vogue, V, Gucci, VanityFair—this collection is going to be good.

Mate will launch in June and be available Net-A-Porter.com. 20% of the proceeds will benefit the arts foundation Testino founded in his hometown, Lima.
