Helmut Lang’s creative directors, Michael and Nicole Colovos are leaving Austrian fashion label after eight years.
“We are grateful for the opportunity that Andrew gave us to reestablish Helmut Lang,” the couple told Women’s Wear Daily. We will always have a deep affection for the brand.”
“I want to extend my sincere thanks to Michael and Nicole for their commitment to the house and its successful evolution into a leading force in the contemporary marketplace,” said Andrew Rosen, chief executive office for the brand. “I am confident in their future and wish them all the best.”
If the couple’s last collection designed for Lang is any indication, they may be exiting the brand after a bit of turmoil. They called their Fall 2014 collection “rough terrain.”
