Michael Kors clearly loves New York City and on Fashion's Night Out he's been known to pull out all the stops. "I danced with the Rockettes, which was pretty tragic," he recalled. "And I sang with Idina Menzel, which was even more tragic." So for this year's festivities, Kors left the performing to the experts. The affable designer hosted Kors Karaoke Thursday night at his Madison Avenue boutique. A few talented singers took to the stage to belt out their version of "Sunglasses At Night," a song that clearly speaks to Kors' proclivity toward after five shades.
"This isn't late night karaoke, this is the real deal," he assured the crowd. And to prove just how serious he was, Kors enlisted the support of a stellar judges panel. Twilight's Nikki Reed, longtime friend Debra Messing, Nina Arianda, and Kate Upton cast their votes for the evening's winner.
But it was the guests who made their way inside that were truly victorious; the endless line outside the store swung around the corner. "Fashion's Night Out is the new fashion holiday for fashionistas all around the world," said Kors. And with him at the helm, who wouldn't want to celebrate!
