Miley Cyrus Likes Being Ladylike Yet Punk

Marc Jacobs showed Miley Cyrus how to do punk, and she never looked back.

“I work a lot with Marc Jacobs. He kind of brought me into fashion like when I was 16, that was when I started being around him and just learning from him,” the Bangerz (out now!) singer said in an interview with Hunger TV. “He kind of let me inspire some of his pieces and now I feel like its just having the right people around you.”

Cyrus counts the newly single designer as “the right people” because of his ability to do strong and sexy so well. “There’s definitely something amazing about being so ladylike yet being so punk, and that’s kind of more of what I am even if I’m wearing things that aren’t,” she explained.

Now Cyrus' Met Ball choice to go punk in Marc Jacobs makes so much sense. She can't stop–pun intended.

“Like fashion and everything else, it doesn’t need to be so serious,” she said. “People take it too seriously; it’s supposed to be self-expression and how you want people to see you.”

Word, Miley. We’ll give you that.
