In the spirit of supporting growing talent, Nordstrom is increasing their involvement with the CFDA / Vogue Fashion Fund by launching six pop up stores! While the retailer has backed the program since 2006, they're now taking the partnership to a whole new level. "We are proud to evolve our commitment to the future of American fashion by hosting CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund shops in our stores," said Jeffrey Kalinsky, Nordstrom executive vice president of Designer and CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Selection Committee member. "We think that our customers will be excited to have access to the collections from these talented designers."
The ten finalists (Andrea Lieberman of A.L.C., Greg Armas of Assembly New York, Sofia Sizzi of Giulietta, Justin Salguero, Daniel Silberman, and Alina Silberman of Illesteva, Jennifer Fisher of Jennifer Fisher Jewelry, Jennifer Meyer Maguire of Jennifer Meyer, Max Osterweis & Erin Beatty of Suno, Tabitha Simmons, Greg Chait of The Elder Statesman, and Wes Gordon) will have a distinct opportunity to grow their brand awareness with the Nordstrom customer, while building loyalty and a presence.
Come February 2013, curated collections from the 10 Fashion Fund finalists will be for sale in Nordstrom stores in Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, and treasure&bond in New York City. Though details and images of the products from the designers won't be available until closer to the opening date, we're already anxiously anticipating the exciting shopping moment!
