It would have been too cold to hold the Malandrino Fall 2011 presentation outside Sunday afternoon, and so Catherine Malandrino brought the Parisian outdoors indoors. Her latest collection tells the story of a promenade along Quai de la Tournelle, and guests leisurely perused the looks, encouraged to take their sweet time soaking in the collection. Day transitioned seamlessly into night with emerald green frocks and striped chiffon blouses. True to form, there was a plethora of noir and leather, allowing the ruby reds and deep purples to pop. Malandrino’s fur offerings were a real standout; luxe chinchilla vests and mink wrap jackets trimmed in fox fur looked as if they would keep us warm during our evening stroll along the Seine.
