We thoroughly enjoy Taylor Swift (and her music). We've met her a few times before and haveinterviewed her once or twice, and we're always impressed by the way she presents herself—she's genuinely nice, incredibly down-to-earth, easily amused, quite hilarious, and totally forthcoming about what's going on in her life.
That's why we're always happy to see her venture into other arenas, and of course conquer them! She's already a CoverGirl, and now she can add perfumer to her resume, as her first fragrance Wonderstruck is set to launch later this year. "Wearing perfume is such a unique way to create memories," says Swift. "Like songs, a scent can take you back and allow you to relive a moment in time."
As with her music, this scent is inspired by her own life experiences. Says Swift, "I wrote the lyric, 'I'm wonderstruck, blushing all the way home,' for the song 'Enchanted' about the first time you meet someone. A fragrance can help shape someone's first impression and memory of you. It's exciting to think that Wonderstruck will play a role in creating some of those memories."
Created in collaboration with Olivier Gillotin of Givaudan and Elizabeth Arden, Wonderstruck is indeed an enchanting fragrance, thanks to its mesmerizing blend of notes like freesia, raspberry, vanilla, amber, sandalwood, and peach. The eau de parfum will retail for $49.50 to $59.50; the rollerball for $18; the bath gel for $25; and the body lotion for $29. Look for the Wonderstruck collection on department store shelves in October 2011.
