THE PARTY: Glam’s Oscars Viewing Party in LA
THE PLACE: Sunset Tower Hotel
THE FARE: Nominee themed hors d’oeuvres, popcorn bar curated by Popcorn Indiana, movie candy, desserts from Treat House
THE DEETS: Glam bloggers and editors gathered on Sunday for a chic Oscars viewing party at LA’s Sunset Tower Hotel. The hot-spot setting (Amy Adams, Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde were spotted there pre-Oscars) was the perfect location for attendees to sport glamorous attire and picture-perfect makeup. Upon arrival, each guest filled out a winners’ ballot for a little bit of friendly competition. They also took to Instagram to document the lovely soiree in the form of selfies and décor snapshots. As the awards show got underway, guests were invited to grab a cocktail and stock up on popcorn from the popcorn bar.
Ellen DeGeneres’ pizza-delivery antic was met with laughter, while speeches like the ones from Best Supporting Actor/Actress winners Jared Leto and Lupita Nyong’o made us tear up a little bit. Oh, and that history-making group selfie spawned re-creations of our own. The group couldn’t resist rounds of applause for the big award winners, Matthew McConaughey and Cate Blanchett.
