As if a trip to Brooklyn wasn’t intriguing enough for Dior fans, the alluring juxtaposition of the brand’s silk scarf inspired collection against the backdrop of the borough Navy Yards was enough to bring out fashionistas in droves.
It also served as the setting for Peter Philips' debut show with the brand after leaving his position of 5 years at Chanel. With black making up most of the resort collection's color palette, the makeup maestro also kept the beauty look simple--yet impactful--with double decker liner.
After lining the top lash line and the outer corner of the lower lashes with the brand’s upcoming It-Line Eye-liner in It-Black, he patted on black shadow from the 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette in Bar to soften the lines and ensure lasting power. He helped the 66 girls get glowing with pearlescent pink shadow on the lids and shimmering white on the outer corner of the eye between the two lines of liner before finishing the eye look with a fluttering strip of false lashes. He played with lights on the rest of the face with luminous matte skin that came care of the forthcoming Diroskin Star Foundation (on shelves in September) and a moist, natural lip.
“It’s not a big makeup statement, but it’s a look that fits with all sixty-six girls and makes them stronger,” he told Style.com. “It’s Raf’s version of Resort, so it’s a bit more strict.”
We wouldn’t call it strict so much as versatile, as winged liner is always appropriate, regardless of season or occasion. Looks like we have a new liner look to practice!
