Magic City is a peek into the gritty and glittering world Miami Beach at the rise of Castro’s power in 1959. The Miramar Playa Hotel isn’t what it seems as it plays host to wholesome families and sunbathing sirens during the day but by night both sides of the law congregate to see legendary stars.
The highly anticipated drama, premiering Friday, April 6, at 10pm on STARZ, was inspired by the late 1950s and early ‘60s nostalgia that has permeated fashion and media with a blend of Marilyn Monroe and Jackie Kennedy.
