When thinking of a collaboration between Rihanna and Budweiser, images of the phenom's partying antics and badgal attitude may first come to mind. Her work with the brand, though, couldn't be more different. The pair have actually teamed up—along with her Roc Nation boss Jay-Z—on a global campaign that celebrates and encourages creative minds on a global scale.
This week, their newly-minted partnership taps into Riri's own source of inspiration while boasting wise words for dream chasers everywhere. “Whatever you love, whatever makes you happy, that's it,” Rihanna shares in the Mark Romanek-directed clip as “Right Now” plays in the background. “It doesn't have to look good on somebody else, it just has to work for you. Whatever it is that you're truly passionate about, you would automatically put 100 percent into that, and it would never feel like work.”
The 30-second spotexplores the design leg of Rihanna's brand, echoing her work with River Island over the past several seasons. While her affinity for sexy, luxe looks—like the Yohji Yamamoto top and Azzedine Alaïa heels she wears in the video—are key in crafting her own namesake clothing line, Ri admits that inspiration is best when spontaneous, not planned.
“There's inspiration in everything and you can create with anything you see,” she professes in part two. “You can use that to inspire something unique; it's really exciting.”
