The man behind all of Rihanna’samazing outfits has just been appointed the new fashion director of 032c magazine! Mel Ottenberg has worked on the last two issues of the bi-annual glossy but officially took on the title this week.
In addition to styling Rihanna (and her new Sophia Webster heels) for appearances, album covers, and music videos, Ottenberg has worked with Cate Blanchett, Chloe Sevigny and James Franco. “Mel and I have a similar aesthetic, and I appreciate his attention to detail,” Rihanna told Women’s Wear Daily. “Mel is an artist.”
And judging by his work in print, performance, and film—we’d say so! “I am always impressed by the ease in which Mel alternates between hyper precise styling and mainstream rebellion,” said Joerg Koch, editor and creative director of 032c. “He is the perfect match for 032c’s modern take on fashion for men and women.”
Cheers to him!
