Runway Review: Michael Kors Spring 2011

Michael Kors must have been walking on sunshine when he designed his Spring 2011 collection. Kors' jovial persona was reflected in the lush greens, bright pinks, and upbeat daffodil that blossomed on the runway. The show started with a series of classic white separates, including a sheer turtleneck and timeless trench; he then shifted into neutrals with beige, khaki and brown, but didn't stay in subdued territory for long.

A sense of optimism was evident in the bold floral hues that followed. Sexy and sleek tissue tanks and dresses will work for day and night in paradise. And in between the punch of purple of vibrant pinks, Kors introduced a series of tailored gray essentials and tan leather skirts and accessories.

The Project Runway host and American design icon knows how to make the crowd happy and yesterday's collection jolted the fashion flock. In spite of being exhausted and bleary eyed, we left smiling!
