Saved by the Bell Is Coming Back as a Movie
Zach, Kelly, Slater, Lisa, Jessie, and Screech–our favorite gang from Bayside High is returning for a '90s comeback…in a sense. Though the original cast has long grown up, a new group of teens will be taking their place for a remake of the classic show as a movie for Lifetime. The story, titled The Unauthorized Saved By The Bell Story, is set to expose some of behind-the-scene secrets of what happened in the initial filming of the NBC show, which ran from 1989 to 1993.
The first campaign promo for the movie shows the new posse, Dylan Everett as Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Julian Works as Mario Lopez, Sam Kindseth as Dustin Diamond, Alyssa Lynch as Tiffani Thiessen, Taylor Russell McKenzie as Lark Voorhees, and Tiera Skovbye as Elizabeth Berkeley, rocking the right looks and eery familiarity to the actor they'll be playing. The anticipation of what dirty laundry will be exposed in the movie has already begun. Cast fights? Love connections? Troubled times? We'll have to wait and find out Labor Day weekend, when the story premieres on Lifetime!
