Though Jenner opened up her six-week trial run with a Nori double, fans got a real first look at the celebrity cherub during her summer finale this afternoon. The reveal was prompted by West's candid interview, his first televised profile in three years. The DONDA head took the chance to not only divulge on his relationship with Kim Kardashian and its effect on his career, but he also opened up about his mother's death and subsequent portrayal in the media, particularly after he infamously interrupted Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.
“The last thing I would want to happen to my daughter is [for] some crazy, drunk, black guy in a leather shirt to come up and cut her off at an award show,” he said, adding that fatherhood put an end to his “crazy rock star” persona. He also squashed rumors that he and his better half sought money in exchange for the first photos of North.
“For me and your daughter we have not attempted to get paid for anything. We have not attempted to put it on a magazine,” West said. “To stop all the noise, I thought it'd be really cool, on her grandmother's season finale, to bring a picture of North,” he added before an image of the two-month old appeared on the screen.
Though the rapper joked that he “pray[s] that she looks like her mother when she's older,” Jenner professed that she's “an amazing combination of the two.”
Now, the question remains if we can get Wintour on board with the idea of a mother-daughter feature in Vogue.
