Score Sofia Vergara’s Emmys Red Carpet Look with CoverGirl and Leonor Greyl
The sultry Sofia Vergara was one of the many It-girls on the red carpet at last night’s Primetime Emmy awards. She sparkled in a Zuhair Murad gown like a siren from the sea with gorgeous waves and eye-catching makeup to match. We got the how-to for hair and snagged a tutorial from makeup artist, Kayleen McAdams.
McAdam’s was inspired by candy with chocolate brown eyes and a caramel kiss. “With a dress like hers, I wanted her makeup to look delicious and sexy,” she said. She began by applying CoverGirl’sNatureLuxe Silk Foundation in Nutmeg all over the face and blended into the neck. She hid any flaws under TruConceal #4 and added a pop of pink to the cheeks with Cheekers Blush in Sierra Sands before setting the face with Clean Pressed Powder in Soft Honey. For the eyes, McAdams used the Eye Enhancers 1-Kit Shadow in Brown Smolder all over the lid with a line of Perfect Point Plus Eyeliner in Espresso at the root of the top and bottom lashes. She set the bottom lash liner with the Queen Collection 1-Kit Shadow in Copper Penny and added three coats of LashBlast Volume Mascara on top and bottom lashes for an extra dose of drama. For the luscious lip, she filled the lip with LipPerfection Lip Color in Captivate before lining the lip with the LipPerfection Lip Liner in Smoky to keep everything in place. For a glossy finish, it only took a dot of Queen Collection Lip Gloss in Sugar and Spice at the center of the lip.
Begin by spraying Leonor Greyl’sCondition Naturelle on 1-inch section of the hair and then work in a quarter-sized amount of Mousse au Lotus Volmatrice into each section to set the hair and create texture. Then blow out each section using a flat paddle brush to smooth out strand before spritzing in the Spray Structure Naturelle and wrapping each section around a 1-inch barrel curling iron. Pin the curls to set and cool, and then finger comb the curls for a little separation before smoothing in Eclat Naturel and Serum de Soie Sublimateur. Finally, seal in the style with a few spray of Laque Souple.
