See by Chloe: Resort 2014

DesignerClare Waight Keller's design studio

Inspiration: The line is meant to tell the story of Chloe's creative director, Clare Waight Keller, as a young English girl finding her way in Paris.

Trends: The collection boasts pieces that are perpetually young, fresh, and funky but mixed with grown-up silhouettes and some very sophisticated materials. In a fashionably humorous way, fancy voluminous dresses and pretty organza skirts are juxtaposed next to a giant color blocked utility parka, sporty oversized culottes and sweatpants, or playfully unfitted jumpsuits. We see elements of a proper English rose in the delicate pink floral prints, the sweet tea-dresses, school-girl skirts and jumpers, and denim interweaving. But Parisian influences in the form of graphic top and bottom pairings, silk blouses tucked into fitted bottoms, and chic leather sneakers and pumps transition the line into something still girlish, but much more sophisticated, contemporary, and forward thinking.

Palette: red, black, mustard, denim, navy, white, sky blue, mauve.

Who Should Wear It: Alexa Chung, Agyness Deyn, Diane Kruger.
