Spotted on the Runway: Flowing, Feminine Fashion
Free-flowing fabrics have become our dominant desire for spring 2014 thanks to the runways of KaufmanFranco, Nanette Lepore, Zimmermann, Badgley Mischka, and others. Veering from the geometric shapes, stiffer textures, and tailored pairings of previous seasons, many designers chose to instead capture classic femininity through dresses featuring chiffon, silk, organza, and softer silhouettes. The whimsical effect of floating skirts and sheerer materials looks lighter and daintier, plus provides for a more comfortable style during the warmer months. Is this a trend you’ll be trying?
