Stacey Bendet’s closet is probably anything but average, but the way she feels when she walks into it is pretty standard, as far as we’re concerned. “I need more space!” she laments. We feel you, girl, but oh, how nice it would be to have even an apartment that’s as big as what we imagine Bendet’s closet might be…sigh.
We got a taste of that on Monday evening at her Versailles-inspired Alice +Olivia Spring 2015 presentation, which took place at The Pierre (and after seeing it, we firmly believe that we, too, need more closet space). Always dressed to the nines in her own extravagant designs, we can only imagine the racks of sparkle, print, and color that must line her (makeshift) closet.
Of course, there’s a lot of accessorizing that goes into her daily looks, as well. Bendet is certainly a risk-taker when it comes to putting outfits together (just take a look at her amazing creations on Instagram!), but there’s one thing she’ll never experiment with: scrunchies. “I hate scrunchies. [My daughter, Eloise] has them for her leotards and I’m like, ‘No, you can’t wear them!’” Our bet is that this kind of prohibition isn’t going to thwart little Eloise’s fashion education, anyway—regardless of her disdain for the 80’s staple hair accessory, her teacher is pretty phenomenal.
