Tina Fey and Amy Poehler aren’t the only female comedians who can do a buddy film justice. Kristen Wiig is teaming up with Bridesmaids scribe Annie Mumolo for a new project that will double as Wiig’s directorial debut. The untitled comedy will follow “best friends who find themselves in over their heads and out of their depths.” Rather vague, but coming from these Oscar-nominated gals, it’ll be worth a trip to the theater. Netflix is ready to raft a river of lava. It has acquired the rights to 1990s Saturday-morning staple The Magic School Bus,and will be bringing it back in a CGI-animated version by 2016. The site’s modernized version will feature robots and smart suits to help teach science “in a way that transcends generations.” Did we mention that Netflix is also reviving Goosebumps and Clifford the Big Red Dog?
