This story is getting crazier by the minute. In the latest “news” (note: we use that term lightly) about what sparked the elevator incident between Solange Knowles and Jay Z, sources say that a run-in with designer Rachel Roy is to blame. Rumor has it that Knowles is not too fond of Jay’s relationship with Roy, the ex-wife of his former friend and business partner Dame Dash. (Incidentally, Knowles and Roy attended the Met Gala together in 2012). Roy only fueled those flames by tweeting an allusion to a track on Jay’s Magna Carta Holy Grail, leading speculators to believe that we haven’t seen the end of #Cartergate. [Daily News]

True or false: did Neil Patrick Harris almost win the Late Show? True! The How I Met Your Mother lead, Broadway star, and host extraordinaire revealed in an interview with Howard Stern that he was approached by show execs to fill David Letterman’s shoes, but declined for fear that he would “get bored of the repetition fast.” What would bring NPH to late night? Something with a variety show flair. [Vulture]

Twenty years and (almost) eight albums after their 1995 debut, the Foo Fighters are coming to the small screen. Dave Grohl is directing a documentary about the band as they tour eight cities from Los Angeles to New York City and are inspired by regional music to produce their upcoming studio release. Sway may not have the answers (hey Kanye), but Tina Fey does. In an interview on Late Night with Seth Meyers, she gave her theory on why women have yet to crack through the late night glass ceiling and made a prediction on the first woman she thinks we’ll see at a late night desk. [Huffington Post]

The second trailer for Transformers: Age of Extinction has arrived, featuring Mark Wahlberg as a mechanic-turned-Optimus Prime ally has landed. Read: Autobot versus Decepticon battles, paranoid government officials, and ocean liners being dropped from the sky.[YouTube]

Oprah Winfrey’s foray into reality television is only beginning. After debuting a docu-series starring Lindsay Lohan and a new show about Love in the City, the OWN executive is developing a reality show starring Michael Sam, the first openly gay athlete to be drafted to the NFL. [Vulture]
