The rapper-turned-media mogul is not only expanding his Roc Nation imprint to represent athletes (first up is New York Yankee Robinson Cano), but also signing on with Universal Music Group. This new partnership will end Roc Nation's four-year contract with Sony, Universal's top competitor, and bring on Roc Nation artists like Rihanna, Kylie Minogue, and Timbaland into the fold. [New York Times]

Justin Timberlake, a native Tennessean, will be joining Al Green, Queen Latifah, Cyndi Lauper, and others for a celebration of the city's music scene tonight in the East Room of President Barack Obama's abode. Earlier today, First Lady Michelle Obama led students from 16 schools in a workshop on the birthplace of Elvis Presley, B.B.
