Star Scoop: Usher’s Busy Worker Bee, A Taylor Swift Thanksgiving, Nicki Minaj Faces the Heat

Want Usher’s new single? Buy a box of Honey Nut Cheerios. From Walmart. The “Good Kisser” is teaming with Buzz Bee for a “Clueless” drop after first teaming with the breakfast cereal earlier this summer. Can’t say we saw this coming. [Billboard]

Had enough of Taylor Swift? Not yet?! Good, because she’ll be coming to Thanksgiving dinner. The platinum-selling sensation is the latest addition to Macy’s annual Thanksgiving Day Parade. It might be perfect time to break out “Welcome to New York.” [The Hollywood Reporter]

We were all for Nicki Minaj’s “Only” when the track was released a few weeks ago. That was, until its accompanying lyric video dropped with an onslaught of offensive, implicit Nazi imagery. After taking flack for the visual, Minaj issued an apology via Twitter saying “I didn’t come up [with] the concept, but I’m very sorry & take full responsibility if it has offended anyone. I’d never condone Nazism in my art.” Hopefully, lesson learned. [Vulture]

As for the video’s director and visual artist Jeff Osborne, his apology statement, wasn’t as PC. [MySpace]

MTV2 is bringing on the funny. After renewing Nick Cannon’s Wild N Out and Guy Code for 2015, the network has given the green light to two new series. The first, Joking Off, will be a game show based on social media, while Number 2 News will create stories based on trending comments. [Variety]

The Real Housewives of Atlanta know how to bring on the drama… and the numbers. Season 7 of the Bravo hit broke network records with its biggest premiere yet: 3.8 million viewers to be exact. So nasty, and so rude—in the best way possible. [The Wrap]
