Stella & Dot Steps Into Skincare
Stella & Dot is shifting its focus from sparkling baubles to squeaky-clean, youthful skin.
Jessica Herrin, founder and chief executive officer of Stella & Dot, started her skincare journey in her late 30s, tapping Bare Escentuals executive chairman Leslie Blodgett for help when she joined the board in 2011. The result was a 12-product range of naturally derived, clinically effective anti-agers called Ever that will launch in March, with a full rollout to e-tailers in the spring. “It coincided with me being in my late 30s. I was on a personal journey for skin care that was naturally derived but effective,” Herrin told Women’s Wear Daily.
Skin care savants will find a Luminous Nutrient Rich Cleansing Balm, Hydralift Moisture Injection Cream, and Glow Body Renewal Oil, to just name a few will be priced between $26 and $88. All will be formulated with LSR10, a magnolia-based bioactive complex designed to slow down aging and reduce inflammation. But parabens, sulfates, phthalates, propylene glycol, hydroquinone, chemical sunscreens, and synthetic fragrances and colors won’t be welcome in this collection, which is great for the green-minded beauty buffs.
