New mother Kerry Washington’s return to the red carpet gave her a bit of anxiety. “It’s a little crazy,” Washington said. “Yesterday was like my first time being back in the game and I was nervous. Jonathan Simkhaiis updating the way he designs resort collections. “We're showing these really modern collections and we’re trying to dress a cool girl and ‘resort’ just isn’t current,” he said. “I think of it as, it’s October November December, I’m in the city, I have holiday parties to go to, I have dates I’m going on and I want to look cute, I have work meetings to conquer, and I have fall pieces already, so I just want to update my wardrobe, so it’s a seasonless type of thing.” He calls the collection Transition One. We like his thinking. [Fashionista]
