Style Scoop: Marc Jacobs is Moving, Go Shopping With Kate Upton, Hearst Retains Faith In Print

Marc Jacobs is moving! Well, he’s just shifting his show time slot from 8p.m. to 6p.m. on September 11, the final day of New York Fashion Week. WWD Reports that Jacobs and company president Robert Duffy were motivated to shift the time to accommodate editors and buyers who plan to attend London Fashion Week and leave for the airport from the show. Additionally, the show will take place at the Seventh Regiment Armory instead of Jacobs’ usual venue, the 69th Regiment Armory, because of a scheduling conflict. [Women’s Wear Daily]

While most publishers are focusing efforts on the online space, Hearst is steadfast in print. So much so that it’s launching another print product called TrendingNY, a free newspaper-magazine hybrid that will focus on New York-centric cultural events, restaurants and what’s in stores and will be handed out in the New York metro area. The “short, easy read,” according to Ellen Levine (editorial director of Hearst Magazines), will be made a regular Hearst occurrence if it does well during a test period from September 8 through September 30. Congratulations are in order for Lucky editor-in-chief, Eva Chen! The street style maven announced that she’s expecting a little girl come winter 2015. Judging by the mini New Balance sneakers and Chanel bag (which match her own, no less) she included in her daily #evachenpose Instagram shot, this is going to be one seriously well-dressed baby. How could we forget about Pharrell Williams’ hat from the 2014 Grammy Awards? We couldn’t and it looks like we never will. The Vivienne Westwood hat, which was sold to fast-food chain Arby’s in a charity auction, will be on display in Washington D.C.’s Newseum starting on August 22. Arby’s is loaning the most famous hat ever for a short-term exhibit, because “the garment resembles the impact of social media on a news story.” [HuffPo Style]
