Style Scoop: Peter Copping Heads to Oscar de la Renta, Gemma Ward’s Ongoing Comeback, Bad Batch Of Birkins Smells Like Marijuana

After much speculation, Peter Copping has been named creative director of Oscar de la Renta. The designer, who recently left Nina Ricci and worked at Marc Jacobs for 12 years prior to that, will start his new role on November 3 and show his first collection for the house at New York Fashion Week Fall 2015 in February. She’s back: Gemma Ward appears on the cover of Sunday Style Australia’s October 2014 issue. The supermodel continues her fashion comeback (remember when she unexpectedly showed up at Prada?) after an 8-year hiatus from the industry. We can’t wait to see what else she has up her sleeve. Customers have been returning their Birkin bags, complaining that they smell of marijuana. Staff members at Hermès stores told these customers that there was a problem with a “badly tanned” batch of leather from a supplier. They claim that the tanning process somehow makes the leather smell like marijuana whenever it heats up in warm temperatures. [Page Six]

We never would’ve thought to give Snoopy his own handbag collection, but Coach took a chance on the cartoon pooch—and it totally worked! The adorable Peanuts-inspired collection is available exclusively on Colette’s website, and the full assortment of goods will hit on Friday, October 24. Coach lovers can also explore the collection by using the new Coach app, which will be available for download on October 22. [Glam Inbox]
