With the loss of fashion icon Oscar de la Renta, the fashion community mourns one of its greats. Many took to Twitter immediately after the news broke, but even more got to writing lengthier pieces to commemorate the King of the red carpet. The actress staged an unauthorized photoshoot for her shoe line at the West Village address—aka Carrie Bradshaw’s fictional home. A photo she posted to her Instagram even showed her reaching over a chain, ignoring the “Do NOT go on staircase please” sign. Saint Laurent creative director Hedi Slimane has a penchant for rock ‘n’ roll, and rumor has it that he’s got his eye on 18-year-old rocker Julia Cumming to be his next muse. The vocalist and bassist of Brooklyn-based band Sunflower Bean walked in his Saint Laurent show for the past two seasons.
