Style Scoop: Sandy Shuts Down WWD Summit, Rita Ora for Superga, Kylie Minogue Preps Fashion Tome

There's a new lady in town who is shutting it down. We're talking Hurricane Sandy, the “Frankenstorm” that is gushing winds, rain, and Arctic cold all along the east coast, while suspending business, public transportation, and the Women's Wear Daily CEO Summit. Scheduled for October 29th-30th, the annual apparel and retail summit was to take place at The Plaza, but has been canceled due to inclement weather until further notice. Your favorite retailers — Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy's, Victoria's Secret — have shut down too. [WWD]

To say that Kylie Minogue has been in the business for 25 years with that face and that body seems unreal, but she has. And Miss Minogue has been dazzling fans with her stage and set wardrobe the entire time. Take a trip into her style archives to revisit and relive her most spectacular looks — from John Galliano, Giles Deacon, Stella McCartney, and more — in Kylie/Fashion, an ode to her quarter century in music and the fashions that accompanied her along the way. The Duchess of Cambridge is in haute headlines again, this time for her natural beauty. Kate Middleton has been crowned Britain's most naturally beautiful woman, beating out Keira Knightley, Cheryl Cole, and sister Pippa Middleon for the title, presumably for giving great face without the help of invasive cosmetic procedures. Roc Nation's newest star, Rita Ora, is set to take over the reigns as the face of Superga. She's replacing fellow British “it” girl Alexa Chung and will be appearing in the Italian brand's Spring 2013 campaigns. [Grazia Daily]

While most retailers shut their doors on Thanksgiving in anticipation of massive Black Friday blowouts, Lord & Taylor is stepping out from the pack. The Fifth Avenue flagship will stay open for regular business hours on turkey day for the first time ever. More reason to whip out the plastic and get in some extra holiday shopping, no? [Glamour]
