Style Scoop: Vogue Still Rules… and So Does Anna Wintour, Welcome to the Blakery


Vogue’s September issue is still the biggest in the land. Last year the Conde Nast publication boasted of 661 pages—making it the actual weight of the bible—and this year, when the issue hits newsstands it will weigh in with 631 pages. Not as big as last year’s issue, but certainly still impressive. Luckyand Teen Vogue weren’t as, well, lucky. Each publication’s September pages declined by 33.9% and 34.3% respectively. Speaking of Conde Nast, Anna Wintour is not only the company’s creative director across all their titles, as of today, she is editorial director as well! In a memo circulating Conde Nast CEO Chuck Townsend wrote, “as strategic leadership changes we are making as part of a succession plan we started early this year,” [Wintour] “will ensure that our content and culture remain at the forefront of our industry. [President Bob Sauerberg] and I will rely on her for her insights and guidance as we build the team that will lead us into the future.” [Daily Intelligencer]

Blake Lively’shusband, Ryan Reynold, calls his home ‘The Blakery” because his wife bakes so often. Vogue spent 73 questions with Preserve’s founder where she shared that she prefers cupcakes to cake, would love to live in Paris and the movie she laughed the hardest through. [The Scene]

Britney Spearsis not that innocent. In fact, the singer is launching a new line of lingerie called The Intimate Collection. She shared a sneak peak of what’s to come on Twitter and Instagram. The collection will include comfy camisoles and sheer separates. [The Huffington Post]
