Style Setter: Vera Wang

It's been a busy few weeks for Vera Wang. Not only did she dress the entire Kardashian clan for Kim's wedding, but she also purchased a new house in LA, launched her Lovestruck fragrance, and designed her Spring 2012 collection. Wang, who will send her latest works of wearable art down the runway on September 13th, took a break to talk inspiration, or lack thereof with Glam.

What's inspiring you now?
It's never just one thing. I'm always criticized for not doing color, everyone's always saying 'Vera does black and gray and she's depressed and it's dark and it's goth' so I think there will be a surprise this time. I don't want to say, but it will be a little bit of a surprise.

You've been spending lots of time on the West Coast but you're a New Yorker at heart; what are some NY things you are loving right now?
I'm getting very excited about Fashion's Night Out because I think its good for our industry. I'm happy about the weather because this was one of the worst winters I can remember, and I'm really excited to see the shows because I'm a fashionista and I love Fashion Week.

Will you be attending any shows besides your own?
It's fun to see my friends' shows. I know people think all designers hate eachother but alot of us are really good friends. I think I'm going to go see my friend Alexander Wang's show and he might come to mine, but we'll have to wait and see.
