Style Setters: Social Media Influencer, Abby Gardner

With experience in the fashion, beauty and digital world, having worked for The Daily Front Row, Fashionista, and Glo, Abby Gardner brings a brilliant combination of delights to her social media account.

As the current site director for Marie Claire, Abby balances the world of fashion and beauty, while putting a vested interest in pop culture. Follow her for a week and you'll realize that she's a true Soul Cycle fan, has a hard core attachment to her football team, the Indianapolis Colts, and is a welcome addition to your Twitter feed.

What is the first social media platform you look at in the morning and the last you check before you go to bed at night?

Twitter, definitely. I feel physical distress when I'm away from it for too long.

Who are your favorite five to follow?

@marieclaire – Of course!

@SoulCycle – So I can always keep up with the goings-on at my home away from home. I consider myself an unofficial recruiter.

@fuggirls – Jessica and Heather are basically inside my head about everything from pop culture to sports…but funnier. Plus, they are dear friends.

@billyeichner – I follow a lot of comedians/comedy writers but Billy is currently topping the list of people making me laugh

@OscarPRGirl – Because really who's more chic and clever than Erika?

What hotspots will you be frequenting this season?

Every season I end up spending a lot of time at the Standard and the Boom Boom. And I'm sure there will be things happening at the East Village location now too. And sometimes I just like to grab a chill post show dinner away from the fray with friends. My new favorite spot is Rosemary's in the West Village.

What new platform were you most excited to use during Fashion Week?

We're trying out a fun widget on the site with Have to Have that I'm excited about. Users will get to vote up or down on runway looks. We're also working on a more shopping focused game with them as well.

What was your first Tweet?

Oh lord, I cannot remember but I bet it wasn't very funny or clever. It's crazy to think that I've sent over 27,000 tweets since I first started tweeting when I was at Fashionista. I can't even imagine my life (or my job) without it now.
