It looks like new hubby Johannes Huebl isn’t the only significant man in Olivia Palermo’s life. The ever-stylish model/actress/lifestyle guru is launching into yet another project--this time with Edgardo Osorio of Aquazurra. With shoes as her medium, this one seems like Palermo’s most fitting venture yet. She is collaborating on a capsule collection of six shoe styles for the Florence-based footwear label. Dubbed Aquazzura x Olivia Palermo, the collection will launch globally in September at retailers including Lane Crawford, Saks Fifth Avenue, Tsum, Holt Renfrew and Net-a-porter (which has the online exclusive).
This project comes out of Palermo’s support for the label: “She’s always wearing the shoes,” Osorio said. “We’re friends and we were talking more than a year ago about a small capsule that would be Olivia’s eye and aesthetic but with the Aquazzura style.” And Palermo insists that her over-the-knee boots, bejeweled sandals, gladiators, snakeskin pumps and suede booties will not break the bank. Prices range from $600 to $1,625 because “everything is so expensive these days and you still want to have things that you can find and have quality and the design aesthetic and be happy,” according to Palermo. We’ll give her credit for designing glamorous high-quality shoes, but we beg to differ on the “expensive” factor.Good thing we still have some time to save up for a pair of these babies.
