Showing that sustainable fashion can go hand in hand with sophisticated design, the third H&M Consciousness Collection, in collaboration with Ever Manifesto, isofficially celebrity approved, stunningly styled, and affordably priced. The looks were the center of attention at March 19th's Los Angeles launch party, with stars like Sophia Bush in the Victorian inspired beaded and lace mini, model Elettra Wiedemann in a sheer button down and shorts, and the face of the H&M Consciousness campaign, Amber Valetta, in a sleek vegetable-tanned leather bralet with wide trousers.
The feminine, flirty, and effortlessly dramatic collection features intricate embellishment, classic details, and unique twists--all in organic textiles and responsible materials. Actress Emmy Rossum's black jacquard gown, previously worn by Miranda Kerrat Paris Fashion Week, and Kate Mara's ruffled and embroidered blouse evoked a sense of romance and elegance. Fashion consultant Julie Gilhart, on the other hand, showcased an edgier, more bohemian piece from the collection. The flouncy blue and white dress she sported was also styled with shorts by Solange Knowles earlier this month.
Of the limited edition line, available in stores April 10th, Catarina Midby, Head of Design for H&M Conscious Collection explains,"It made perfect sense for us to kick off the collection in LA. The eco-friendly lifestyle here aligns with our initiatives. In fact, the reason we created the first Conscious Collection was because more and more celebrities were asking for stylish sustainable clothing. We knew we had an opportunity to influence Hollywood and prove that you can wear something great for the environment without compromising taste."
With Hollywood's hottest providing us with inspiration on how to wear each look at last night's launch party, we can't wait to pick up the pieces for ourselves. Take their styling initiative, or rock your favorite item in your own, unique way this season.
