Taylor Swift isn’t done shaking things up.
Just days after her first pop single debuted at number one, Swift has signed up as a celebrity adviser on season seven of The Voice. Unlike mentors Stevie Nicks, Alicia Keys, Little Big Town, and Gavin Rossdale, who’ve been assigned to teams helmed by Adam Levine, Pharrell, Blake Shelton, and Gwen Stefani, respectively, Swift will be free to float among all teams and offer her advice to all center stage hopefuls, much like Chris Martin did in season six.
The Emmy award-winning show’s September 22 debut falls a month before Swift’s fifth album, 1989, drops in October. Though it’s prime publicity for what’s sure to be Swift’s next multi-platinum affair, her appearance could also boost the NBC flagship’s flagging ratings, which have fallen 25 percent since last year. How do you haters like that?
