Lets here it for the girls. Last night Hollywood's leading ladies honored one another atop the SoHo House for the 4th Annual Women in Film Oscar Party. The event, which was sponsored by MAC and MaxMara, celebrated this year's female Academy Award nominees. Hosts Halle Berry and WIF president Cathy Schulman raisedtheir glasses of Perrier-Jouët to toast the impressive crowd. Best Supporting Actress nominees Amy Adams, Melissa Leo, and Hailee Steinfeld mingled with the female forces behind the scenes, who make amazing movies happen.
Though she looked pretty fabulous, Berry was less concerned in aesthetics and more concerned with the evening's message. "I have no idea who I'm wearing; I actually have no clue!," she said. And perhaps Steinfeld is taking cues from the stunning Oscar winner. "I don't know who made this," she said of her dress, which we later confirmed was designed by Vionnet.
Best Documentary nominee Lucy Walker informed us that we can expect her to wear Diane von Furstenberg to the Oscars--if she shows up. "I'm not sure if I'll make it onto the red carpet; I am so petrified that I have no idea if I will actually be able to step out of the car." Kate Walsh, who was just on hand to celebrate, had finished taping the musical episode of Grey's Anatomy earlier in the day. She marveled at the industry's impressive female contingent in a bow adorned MaxMara dress. As for how she prepares for these types of events-- "I actually went golfing yesterday for the first time in a while and played five holes," Walsh said.
And as the rain came pouring down upon the roof of the Soho House, we heard Hollywood's women roar!
